Week 8 of College Footall Pregame
What a week in sports this has been. Ohio State only stayed at number 1 for 1 week. Mississippi State beat Florida. Auburn scored sixty points on Arkansas. The Giants are leading the Phillies in the NL Championship. The Oregon Ducks after kicking their Heisman hopeful QB off the team and sending him south to Mississippi are number 1 in the nation. Oregon has lead off the weekend by hammering UCLA. The NFL Players association has announced that they will decertify any agent who paid players. LSU and Auburn get ready to face off for what is going to be one of the top games in the country. Ole Miss faces Arkansas, Alabama takes on Tennessee, South Carlina looks for redemption against Vandy. Georgia takes on Kentucky and Mississippi State finally gets a break from the tuff SEC schedule and plays UAB for homecoming.
In the Big 12 Iowa State takes on Texas, Kansas State is at Baylor, Texas Tech is at Colorado. A huge game with Nebraska at Oklahoma State, Texas A&M at Kansas and maybe the biggest game of the weekend (at least in the Big 12) is Oklahoma at Missouri.
In the Pac 10 Oregon played UCLA on Thursday night with a stiff lead at the time of this writing. Arizona State is at Cal, Washington State at Stanford and Washington at Arizona.
The Big East has South Florida playing Cincinnati, Syracuse playing West Virginia, Rutgers at Pittsburgh and Connecticut at Louisville.
In the ACC Duke is at Virginia Tech, Maryland at Boston College, Georgia Tech at Clemson, Eastern Michigan at Virginia and North Carolina at Miami.
The Big 10 has Purdue playing Ohio State, Michigan State at Northwestern, Penn State at Minnesota, Indian at Illinois and Wisconsin at Iowa.
Without going on and on this looks like it is really going to be a great weekend for sports.

Big 12 Week 7 Wrap
In the Big 12 this week we had some great games. Kansas State and Bill Snyder welcomed Turner Gill into the conference with a Kansas welcome party by soundly whipping them 59-7. If Gill is going to hang around he is going to have to get some consistency within his program.
Missouri and Gary Pinkel hung a L on Coach Mike Sherman and the A&M Aggies 30-9. Tommy Tubberville after coming over from the SEC had his hands full as the grown men of Oklahoma State defeated Texas Tech 34-17. Baylor beat Colorado 31-25. Oklahoma romped and stomped on Iowa State 52-0 and last but not least. Texas said goodbye to Bo Pallini in a proper Big 12 fashion by defeating the so called #5 Nebraska Cornhuskers 20-13
With Missouri leading the northern Big12 at 6-0 followed by Kansas State and Nebraska and Oklahoma and Oklahoma State both undefeated in the Southern division, the Big 12 is going to have a really exciting 2nd half of this season.
