Can the Kansas City Chiefs Be a dominant team in 2010

After one week re a lot of teams that look to be dominate, and those that look like they needed a few more weeks to get ready, the Chiefs fall into the latter category. While there are good things about the team, there are also those things that make the team still look like a joke in the league. The team that showed up on the field last Sunday is not a team that can dominate the division.

There are several reasons that the Chiefs are not able to get their momentum up and going, the biggest of these reasons is the simple fact that they forgot to get a decent quarterback. This may be a little harsh to say, but in all honesty it is the full truth. There is a severe lack of a player that is able to pass the ball effectively and get the team down the field. This is a huge gash that will result in the team bleeding out if not corrected.

Running the ball is a very important thing that will need to be addressed when it comes to getting an effective game plan put into place. There needs to be a team that is ready to run the ball and breakout and score the impressive running touchdown. This is yet another position that the team is still taking applications for in regards to getting the team on the right path.

The defense will be on track this season as soon as they remember that they are supposed to tackle the opposing player and not allow them to make impressive plays. This after the first week seemed to be a massive problem, there were several different holes that were left in the team’s defense and allowed for the opponents to get past them and score without any real issues.

Looking at the rest of the schedule, there are several different types of games that look to give the team a problem if they are not able to get the issues under control and as a result will be one of the factors that will get them off to a bad start this season. There are a few games that should allow for the team to iron out the rest of the wrinkles that they have. The rest of the season will be a tough one for them to manage and effectively win if things do not change.

There are several advantages to the team this season, they appear to be a one in a thousand team, and as a result are poised to make improvements in their overall record from last year. It is still too early to determine if these improvements are enough to make a difference or not, only the rest of the season will reveal that answer, there is one thing that is known, this may be one of the best years that the team has had in a long time. This is the best time to jump on board and become a fan of the team.

NFL Head Coaches need to get it together

Head Football coaches and NFL team owners need to get their stuff together. The head coaches for the Tampa Bay Bucs, Kansas City Chiefs and now the Buffalo Bills need to do a better job evaluating their staff in the off season. To fire their offensive coordinators one week before the regular season has to be a sever sigh of mismanagement. It just shows that they didn’t do a good job of evaluating the person when they hired them. I know these are important positions just as all coaching positions are important. But we are also talking about their lives, their families. If the person in charge of hiring these people would have done their jobs then the guys would have been in the right place and not be sitting there without a job at this crucial time in a coaches career. I for the most part am not one that likes to see coaches get fired but I do think once this season is over that the owners of the Bills, Bucs and Chiefs need to sit down and look at the men they have in charge and realize that it is part of their job to evaluate personnel and to have them in place at the proper time to benefit this team.
