After the first week, the score is the opponents one and the Cleveland Browns zero. This is yet again a sad beginning to a season that was supposed to be the season that the team rebuilds and reclaims their spot in the division. Instead this turned into a disaster season and allowed the fans to get started out on a sour note.

Looking back at the season opener, what is it that went wrong exactly? In the answer to this question, everything. There was a complete failure on all aspects of the team, these failures led to the team not having a very opening game that was supposed to get the fans interested in the team again. This was not the case and in many regards this led to the team melting down on the field.

There is hope though for the team. The first thing that needs to be kept in mind, is that this is only the first game of the season. This being kept in mind, there will be plenty of time in order to fix the things that have went wrong with the team, and will allow them to have a good rest of the season.

There has to be a solid passing game that is in place, the more that the team ignores this simple item, then the more difficult of a time that they will have when out on the field. Having one quaterback that can lead the team is not going to work, there needs to be several other back-up quarterbacks that will allow the team to not miss a step should the starter go down due to injury.

Running the ball, will be something that will need to be done on a regular basis, there has to be a good runner in place that can lead the team and allow them to score points while on the ground. The biggest issues that the Browns have been having, has been a result of the various fumbles that have plagued the team. Holding onto the football needs to be objective one with the Browns.

Defense is another vital aspect that the team needs to address, this can many times allow a team the chance to make up for the lack of offense that the team does not have. In the Browns case there is not even a decent amount of defense that the team can fall back on when it comes to getting the most out of their efforts.

Regardless of the opinions that you have about the team, there is a lot of potential that the team has, if they are wise and can often times take advantage of the chances that the team is presented by the offense and defense. If they fail to make these changes, then this will be a long season that the team and their fans will have to suffer through till the end of the season. This can either be the year that the Browns have dreamed of, or it will be a nightmare for them.
