Remember the 2010 Spartans
We all remember the team that was known as Michigan State. This was a team that at one point had them as being a powerhouse, now the team looks like candidates for the has been football team. This is because of the graduation rate as well as the NFL draft. This team will in the future need a lot of motivation in order to get back to their winning ways. The biggest reason for this is because there simply is a lack of talent in the running game. The Spartans were hoping that they could fix this problem in the off season when it came time to sign the players of the future.
The signing class, did not go as well as had hoped, out of all the players that they had on their wish list, only a few actually signed. This as a result will lead the team to suffer through another hard season that will be full of near misses and almost wins. Unless the team can find a savior to help them, it will be a long season to experience if you are a Spartans fan.
The running game is the best that it has been in a while; this is not really saying a whole lot, since the team has had a lot of problems in the running game in the recent past. While things could always be worse, things are not going to be a lot better for the team this season.
Then the passing game is a portion that will need to be evaluated in the upcoming season. In the recent spring workouts, there have been a lot of issues when it came to getting the ball down the field. The big issues are getting the receiver and the quarterback in sync. Either the player over runs his mark or the quarterback under throws the ball. This is an area that has to be improved if they have any chances of winning games and making a statement this season.
Unless a brick wall falls from the sky, there will be no trouble at all getting past the Spartans defense. This will be a task that will simply be way too easy for them to get past. Teams will simply be able to make their way through the defense and will score with ease. There is hope for this team, they will need to simply know where to look and what to do when it is needed. This will be a tough season to endure for the faithful of the Spartans, but if they are loyal to the team, then they will need to just hang in there and wait things out. And in the end there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.
