San Francisco Giants – A Team With Ton’s Of History

With baseball being one of the most popular sports in the American culture, there is no real surprise in seeing that there are many followers on a global scale. The most followed league in America is the Major baseball league. Almost each state in the United States is known to have at least one team that represents them in this particular league. There are some states such as California that have more than one baseball team which is part of the Major baseball league.

One of the most popular teams that are currently based in California is the San Francisco Giants. In the current day and age, the San Francisco Giants are known to represent the state of California however this was not always the case. The San Francisco Giants is one of the oldest teams in baseball history. Their existence into the major league happened in 1883.

The San Francisco Giants were commonly referred to as the New York Giants. This was up to the season in 1957, after which they moved to California. During their long stay in New York, the team was known to accomplish quite a remarkable status. They won five World Champions and seventeen Pennants. Many famous players were known to play for the team during this era. Names that played an important part during this time included, Bobby Thomson and Willie Mays.

Even though the team was known to have quite a lot of success during their stay in New York, this winning streak stopped once they moved to California. The San Francisco Giants have not won a World Championship since they moved to their current state. This in effect makes the San Francisco Giants the team with one of the longest droughts of silverware. Even though this is the case, the San Francisco Giants are known to have a remarkable record of having the most wins in baseball history.

The current uniform for the San Francisco Giants is quite different in regards to other teams. Their current uniform is known to have a combination of bright colors that makes it attractive. The colors used in the uniform include; gold, white, orange and black. The home uniform is a standard white trousers and shirt with a gold outlining. The socks and cap are made out of the more shocking colors; orange and black.

The away kit on the other hand is pretty much the same. The trousers and shirt however are grey in color. The other combination’s of colors for the away kit include black and orange. The San Francisco Giants do have an alternative kit as well that is hardly ever used.

The current San Francisco Giants logo is quite simple. It is the word “Giants” that runs across an orange baseball. The cap insignia for the San Francisco Giants is the letters S and F. These letters are made into one object making it look like a funky symbol. The colors of the letters are orange.

San Diego Padres’ A Team That Has High Expectations

Almost every state in the United States of America is known to have at least one baseball team that plays in the Major league. California is one state that is known to have more than one baseball team that plays in the big leagues. The one that we are going to take a look at today is the San Diego Padres. The San Diego Padres are also known to play in West Division National League.

In comparison to the other baseball team that represents the state of California, the San Diego Padres have not done as well as they could. The San Diego Padres joined the major baseball league in the year 1969. Even though they have been around for a number of years, they have only been able to win a minimum number of titles. Looking at past records, the San Diego Padres won the National League pennant in the years 1984 and 1998, which equates to twice.

The San Diego Padres is known to have four different current uniforms; home, away, alternative one and alternative two. Even though the team has two alternative uniforms, they are hardly ever used. The current home uniform is navy blue and white in color. The trousers and shirt are white where as the socks and cap are navy blue. The away kit on the other hand is a combination of the colors sand and blue. The socks and cap are still blue but the trousers and shirt are sand colored.

There is another major difference that is noticeable between the home and away uniform other than the colors. The home uniform has the word “Padres” across the front of the jersey where as the away uniform has the word “San Diego” in its place.

Every baseball team in the Major leagues is known to have a famous cap insignia that is used to recognize which state they represent. The San Diego Padres currently have the letters “S” and “D” as their cap insignia. The letters are connected together and are white in color. This ensures that it gains more attention in contrast to the blue background.

The team logo for the San Diego Padres is quite more graphically detailed in comparison to most other state baseball teams. The colors used for the logo include all the colors of the kit which are navy blue, white and sand. The logo is an upside down house shape. The word “San Diego” is written in the top right hand corner of the logo in sand color in small font. The logo is mainly occupied by the large word “Padres” that runs across the foundation of the logo itself.

There has been a lot of talk about a change in owners for the San Diego Padres. The main reason behind this is due to the lack of wins that the team has achieved since its existence. The current owners of the team; Troy Aikman, John Moores and the Jeff Moorad Group have disregarded such claims.

Los Angeles Dodgers – A Team With An Impressive Track Record

Every country is known to have their home sport which is watched and played the most. For Americans, the sport is baseball. With there being so many teams in the current baseball league, one that has been known to stand out quite a lot are the Los Angeles Dodgers. As you may have already guessed from the name, the Los Angeles Dodgers are a baseball team that is based in Los Angeles, California.

The Los Angeles Dodgers came into the major baseball league in the year 1883. When they initially came into the league, their team was based in New York. It wasn’t until the season of 1932 that the team moved to California. Since the move, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been quite successful in comparison to other state teams. They are popularly referred to as the “Dodgers” by fans worldwide.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are popularly known for a number of different reasons. One of the main reasons is due to the number of titles that they have won since their existence. The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the most National League pennants in comparison to any other state team in the major baseball league. The dodgers currently stand at a tall 21 wins. This mark has not been met by any other team in the league.

Out of all the appearances that the Los Angeles Dodgers have made in the World Series, they have been able to win the title six times. Due to the popularity and passion of baseball amongst individuals in Los Angeles, the prospects for the team in the future look quite strong as well. They are expected to win silverware this year as well.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have quite a popular uniform that is loved by fans worldwide. The current home uniform is a white trouser with a white half sleeves shirt. Arizona Diamondbacks – One Of The Greatest Teams In The League

In the American culture, baseball is seen as one of the most famous sports. Seeing as Phoenix, Arizona is known to be one of the biggest cities in America, it is not surprising to know that they have a famous baseball team known as the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Arizona Diamondbacks are known to be called the D-backs as their nickname. They have been known to win the World Series title. The title that they won was for the year 2001.

Even though the Arizona Diamondbacks is a team that has been in the baseball major leagues for quite some time, they were the fastest team to win such the championship. The Arizona Diamondbacks were able to accomplish this just after four years of becoming part of the major leagues. They have won a number of other titles including the National League West Division. The D-backs were able to win this title four times through 1999-2007. The person currently employed to manage the D-backs is Kirk Gibson.

The home kit for the Arizona Diamondbacks is quite popular amongst fans world wide. Their home kit is a standard white trouser and top with red socks and a red hat. 2010 Off to a Flying Start for the Baltimore Ravens

After the first week of play, the Baltimore Ravens are looking like a winning team. While at this point of the season half the teams all have an unbeaten record, the Ravens actually look like a team that is for real this season.

In their season opener the Ravens out played their opponents and made them remember the name Baltimore, this did not come as an easy task at first. Once the team got their momentum going, they became an unstoppable force on the field. If the previous week is any indication of the season the team is looking to have, then it will be a long one for their opponents.

Unlike in the previous season, the running game has found their mojo and is on track to run past their opponents. This will be an important thing that needs to be considered when the opposition is in the film room watching film. This will be a tough part of the game for them to stop.

There is still a little bit of tweaking that the team needs to do in order to be a top passing team in the division. Speaking of the division, there is not much competition that will give the team much trouble in getting to the top of the division. The only real hurdle that they will need to contend with is the Steelers.

This season is shaping up to be one of the best that Baltimore has had since Steve Mcnair played for them. There is talk in the early part of the season that the team is looking like a Super Bowl team that will be giving the Saints a run for a repeat of their Super Bowl title. While it is still a little early to make this prediction, there is a lot of promise that the team looks to have in the coming weeks.

Baltimore will need to remain as focused as they wee in week one, Maintain this focus will many times afford the team a chance to dominate their division and as a result head to the playoffs and possibly the Super Bowl.

Several off season moves allowed for the team to increase their exposure and as a result allowed for the coaching staff to make the needed adjustments that has them in the driver seat for the upcoming season, If they remain in the condition that they are in, then they have a decent chance to see tons of success and will as a result the lone team in the division.

The rest of the season will not be a cakewalk and will test the teams overall success. In the next few weeks, the team will need to remain as a cohesive unit and not lose their focus of getting to the Super Bowl and taking it all the way. What are the Bengal’s looking to do in 2010?

Right from the gate the Bengal’s are sending mixed signals for their season. The reason this statement is made, is the fact that the team looked like they were putting together a team that was going to compete with the division and make some serious noise. Instead the only noise that came from the Bengal’s was Chad Ochocinco and his overrated mouth. This leads to the team seeing their season getting off to a start of 0-1 and the teams dominance being in question.

So the question is now, where does the team go from here? The obvious answer would be that the team looks to rebuild and continue down the path that they were on at the beginning of the season; this is not the case though, the team is not as dominate as they made themselves out to be in the first few preseason games that they played.

Things are not always as they seem when it comes down to the team playing their hearts out and getting points on the board. Many of the plays that they made in their last outing were simply luck of the draw plays. A lucky pass here or a good block there led the team to have some measure of success.

Going back to Ochocinco’s performance, this was a great bit of hype that he led into the game, like many of his promises, he was unable to deliver and as a result proved that his team was not better off with him and T.O on the same team. There were those that thought this was the power couple of the NFL, boy were they wrong.

If this is the best that the team has, then it will be a very long season for the team and as a result will lead the fans to look for an answer to their woes, sorry the answer is not in Cleveland either. This looks to be a complete loss for the state of Ohio when it comes to football.

The passing game is less than stellar and as a result has allowed the opposing team to find the dent in their armor and thus leads them to take advantage of this and lead them to beat the Bengal’s. If these issues are not addressed, then the team will be in a difficult position when the season progresses and they get deeper into the season and they actually have to claim their place within the division.

There is a long season that the team will need to make sure that they are fully prepared for. This lack of being prepared will many times lead the team to not be in a good position and thus cause them to be on the losing end of the season.

If you are a die-hard fan, then you better pray that the team finds their way in this mess that they are currently in. The season is young and there is time to get the team on track and turn the season around for the Bengal’s.

2010 Rough Start for the Buffalo Bills

Well one game down and fifteen more to go, this is the bad news and the bad news for the Buffalo Bills. There is a lot of fans that are disappointed after the dismal showing that the Bills had in week one. Many are having to ask the question, is this a sign of the rest of the season? Some analyst actually say that this could be the season that the Bills replicate the perfect season of the Detroit Lions from two seasons ago.

So what exactly went wrong, that caused the wheels to fall off the Bills bus? This can be attributed to a failure on all three sides. This type of overall failure will result in the team seeing a very long season that will have a lot of blown plays.

Looking at the training camps that were held before the season began, it was obvious that the Bills were having some serious problems in getting their offense on the same page. Then looking at the defense, things were not a lot better. It is for this reason that in their preseason games, they looked like a unmotivated team.

For fans that were hoping that the team will shake off the rust, they found that the team had a lot more rust that it looked. The Bills were not just defeated, they were embarrassed and looked like a pee wee football team taking to the field for the first time. There were several missed plays that the team should have made and these would have led to the team scoring some serious points. Instead things fell apart and never recovered from there.

The passing game that the Bills brought was subpar to say the very least. This is a huge area that needs to see some serious work done on it. The fact that the team did not get intercepted any more than he did is a miracle. The passing coach needs to settle the quaterback down a little and get him to see his target instead of blindly throwing the ball and hoping to hit his target.

The pass rush is another area that needs attention ASAP, too many blown opportunities to stop the pass and get the ball back came and went when the Bills had the chance, this led to the team having a bad outing in the 2010 season.

If the team is able to get back to the basics of football, then this can still be a promising season for the Bills, if not, then the team is looking to have a long season that will end in a very disappointing fashion that will lead to them seeing another great season that will head down the tubes.

The schedule does not get much better for the Bills from here, they have one week that they are able to afford to use as a learning experience. If the team does not get things on track, then they will not have a very enjoyable season for the 2010 season.

There is a Lot of Work Needed for the Denver Broncos

It was supposed to be the debut of a lifetime for Tim Tebow, instead it looked like a retirement party for another Denver Quaterback. The opening game for the Denver Broncos was more of a course of what not to do to win games. This was a long game for the team and it’s star quarterback. This was not the type of game that the team was hoping to have for their season opener. Instead they were left with a sour taste in their mouth.

One has to ask themselves, will the team be able to recover from this disaster of week one? If they continue to play the way that they did in this game, then the team will be looking at a long season that will have them losing more games than they win, in addition, there is also the issue of, the coaching that is leading the team.

Mike Shanahan was one of the best coaches that has made their way to the city of Denver, asa result of this, there has been a lot of discussion about was it a good idea to get rid of the best coach that the team has had. Ask many fans and they will tell you without a doubt that this was a huge mistake.

This getting rid of Shanahan will be a decision that will haunt the team all through the 2010 season, imagine the kind of damage that Tebow with the guideance of shanahan could have done. Insteat now this will be given to the Redskins and allow the team to see the best season since 1991.

There is not a lot past the passing of the Broncos that is able to be deemed as being positive for the team to latch onto. This as a result will be the reason that this wikll need to be determined as being a rebuilding season and allow Tebow to get his feet wet and the coach the chance to figure out what he is doing with the team.

Running and defense are the two areas, that the team is sluggish in. This lack of motivation will lead the team to see their dreams go down the drain if they don’t fix the issues quickly. There is still time to save the team, but there needs to be motivation for the team to improve. At the moment, this motivation is not there for them to have.

Who would have seen The Houston Texans would be This Good

Well week one is over and the surprise of it was that the Houston Texans beat the Colts? This is one of the biggest surprises that rocked the NFL, the one single reason for this surprise, is by the name of Mario Williams. This is the single reason that the Texans drafted Williams.

They made the choice to do this over Reggie Bush for the reason that Bush was not seen as a weapon that would be able to stop the Colts and get past their defense. Mario Williams was considered to be the answer and on Sunday this was proven to be correct as the team made their way past the Colts.

There is little time for the team to sit down and relish in their victory, there will need to be a lot of work in the remainder of the season that needs to be done. This work will be the foundation that will keep them atop the division and hopefully allow them the chance to visit the Super Bowl.

The Texans as well as their fans need to remember though that one man can not be a savior of the team alone, there will need to be a long list of improvements that need to be made in order to allow for the team to see the playoffs. While things look good since they beat the Colts, there are a lot of teams that have a bull’s eye on them as a result.

There is a lot of work that will need to be done when it comes to passing the ball down the field. The Texans have not had the best of luck when it involves getting passing yards in the past few seasons. Their needs to be a clear precise plans that are in place when they take to the field for the rest of the season.

It is apparent from their performance when they took to the field on Sunday, that the running game has everything on track in getting the ball down the field. Many of the plays that were run by Williams are that he has been studying the playbook and has it memorized.

The defense of the team will need to be addressed in a little more detail as the season continues to progress along in the season. There were several holes that were apparent in the defense in their last game. These areas of concern need to be addressed as soon as possible in an effort to get the team on track and maintain the momentum that they have built up over the week.

This very well is the best of the years that the Texans have been in existence. If they are able to do everything the correct way, then the team will be well on their way to dominating the division and will be in a position to contest for the Playoffs in the end of the season. Anything is possible, and this will allow the Texans to enjoy the success that the New Orleans Saints enjoyed with their first Super Bowl win.

Signs of Trouble with the Indianapolis Colts

The Season is underway and the Indianapolis Colts are left with a shocked look on their face. This shock comes from the fact that the Houston Texans ran over the team and made them an example of the NFL. This was and will for a while be a tough defeat for the team to endure as this showed them that they have flaws.

These flaws were put on display for the entire world to see when they took to the field on Sunday, once these two teams met, it became that the Colts were outmanned and had themselves in a tight situation. This as a result led to the team having a complete lack of performance and many asking the question is Peyton Manning losing his touch?

Looking at the performance that the team put forth inn the way of passing, this seemed to be the case and many fans feel that it is time to look for a new quarterback. There are those that still say that Manning is still as good as he once was and is just in a dry spell. The problem with the dry spell is that they are now looked at as being weak and defenseless.

Manning as with any player in his position is considered to be the leader of the team. There was a serious lack of leadership for the team and this led to there being a complete failure on all regards of the team. Even the unbreakable defense was not able to hold up to the onslaught that the team was put through when they took to the field.

The running game of the Colts are often times looked at as being the second best element of the team, this however led to the team feeling like they were without a quality play that would advance the ball down the field. The Colts were naked and unable to get the ball down the field with the running back.

This is not a complete disaster that the Colts are in the middle of, There is plenty that the team is able to do in order to get their offense as well as their defense back on track and recover from the problems that they suffered in the opening week.

When They take to the field next time, the Colts will need to make sure that they have the issues taken care of and are prepared to take their opponents to task as a result. If these issues are not addressed, then the Colts will be looking for an answer that will give them a spark of life to get back on track.

The Colts are still able to get on track and salvage the remaing part of the season, there will be a lot of work that needs to be done, but in the end it will be all worth while. If these adjustments are not made, then the Colts will see a long season ahead of them and will not be able to recover from this.
